How Can Learn Different Support Your Board?

  •  Phase 1

Starting the Conversation: Understanding the needs of a school district can be challenging, especially when it comes to improving literacy scores. Our consultation services are designed to help district leaders and administrators identify and develop the right questions and analysis tools to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current state of literacy within their district. Based on this information, informed discussions can take place about the best paths forward to promote student literacy success.

  • Phase 2

Developing an Implementation Strategy: After conducting a literacy implementation assessment, we assist school literacy teams in analyzing the data to create a strengths/gaps profile for their district. We highlight the effective strategies already in place and identify areas needing improvement based on the science of learning. Using a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) model, we collaborate with district leaders to develop a cohesive framework connecting Tier 1 classroom programs with Tier 2 and Tier 3 literacy interventions. Universal screening helps teachers differentiate skill development among students, while progress monitoring provides real-time insights into student progress.

  • Phase 3

Professional Development: Once school leaders decide on the direction they want to pursue, we offer professional development tailored to the literacy program and intervention training needs. We help educators understand how to use progress monitoring data to differentiate instruction and connect it to the science of reading. Our training aims to create a sustainable, train-the-trainer model, ensuring that school districts have the capacity to be self-sufficient in delivering effective literacy instruction.
